Building Life Plans, One Client at a Time

Advisor Partners–Making It Personal

We have exciting news to share with our clients and friends this week. We have just entered into a new partnership that will offer our clients investment strategies with an added level of risk management and analytical sophistication.

Our CEO, Faraz Sattar, has known the president and chief investment officer of Advisor Partners, LLC for 15 years, since his days at Montgomery Asset Management, where Daniel Kern was managing director and principal and Faraz was an analyst. Dan joined Advisor Partners in 2011.

Advisor Partners is an investment management firm that provides a broad range of sophisticated investment strategies to a select group of independent advisors and financial institutions. We are impressed by the level of analysis the company conducts on every investment, by the ways in which the firm can tailor solutions to the needs of each of our clients, and by the considerations that go into portfolio construction. After extensive conversations, we decided that it was in the best interests of Accretive Wealth’s clients to form a partnership.

Going beyond diversification by asset class, sub-asset class, geography and maturity, Advisor Partners can offer our clients strategies emphasizing tax awareness, dividend yield, and social responsibility.

We’d like to share a short interview between Faraz and Dan.

Faraz: Why have you chosen to work with Accretive Wealth?

Dan: We share many values with Accretive Wealth, believing in the importance of creating robust financial plans to address the unique needs of individuals, families, and small businesses. Both of our companies emphasize client service. And you and I share a common background, having worked together at a boutique asset management firm for several years. We think that the two companies can grow together.

Faraz: Given the multitude of investment management firms out there, what makes yours different?

Dan: Advisor Partners, LLC, was founded in 2001. We have an experienced team of professionals dedicated to providing personalized solutions to advisors and their clients. Although there are many firms that provide investment strategies, we believe that very few firms combine our institutional-quality process with the willingness to personalize solutions for individual investors.

Faraz: Simply put, how would you describe your investment philosophy?

Dan: We believe it can be summed up by the following four tenets:

  • Risk can be managed using a disciplined approach supported by sophisticated technology.
  • Managing costs and taxes is a critical aspect of investing money for taxable investors.
  • Understanding asset class behavior under different market environments can enhance returns and reduce risks/
  • Each client is different and requires solutions that fit his or her unique circumstances
